I just got some of the best news ever!
I got into the Damned Show!!
A little about the Damned Show...
"On October 29 2009 in Detroit, there will be a congregation of the most controversial fine art artists from across the world to display their darkest of creations at DAMNED II. From the famous to the freshest of talent, this ominous assembly will exhibit a diversity of artistries from the deeply depraved to the intensely introspective guaranteed to intrigue, disturb, captivate or repulse. This is not Halloween-themed art but a submergence within the shadowed realms of consciousness within an intimate ambiance of haunting ethereal soundscapes, intimate gallery vignettes and cirque-inspired stage performances."
LIKE, I GOT IN???!!!!!!!???!!!!! O.M.G!!!!!
Here are my two pieces they selected...

So, OKAY, now I need to get an outfit to wear... find a date... make a hair appointment... oh yeah, get my pieces prepared to display! lol!
Aaahhhhhhhh! Seriously, I'm freaking out!!! :)

So... enough about me! (For now! I'm going to be talking about this for MONTHS! lol!)
Find yourself a spare 13 minutes this weekend and check this out!
The Cameraman's Revenge is a short stop motion movie made in 1912! It's a little story about insect infidelity (haha).
Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Three words...YOU GO GIRL!!!
So cool! Congrats!
First, congrats on the show :) You'll have a blast.
Second, I had started to plot how I was going to give you a small heart attack by showing up BUT it's the night before my Halloween party. I'd be toast after driving there and back in a day.
Next time ;)
I'm behind on my blog updates because I've been thanking everyone that came by on my SITS day. Lots-o-thanking going on. So I'm JUST NOW seeing this!
WOO WOO WOOT
As soon as I started reading the post, before I actually SAW the pieces of yours that they selected, I KNEW that they came from those deviant children that you did. I just knew it. {How did I turn this around and make it about myself?}
CONGRATuLAtions! You deserve all the kudos for those disturbing images! They still make me a little queasy. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. ;o)
I will definitely try to make it to this now that I live down here!
I have a question: have you ever been to the Mortuary Open House at Wayne State? It's coming up, and I think it is definitely up your alley.
Sounds like a wonderful art exhibit. I used to live in Detroit. Would have attended in a flash.
Congrats on getting into the show. Exceptional pieces.
